What We Believe
GOD: We believe there is one living and true God who is the Creator and Lord of all things, infinitely perfect, possessing all knowledge and power, and eternally exists in three persons: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. (The Trinity)

GOD THE FATHER: We believe the Father is the ruler of all creatures and creation. He is compassionate, loving, just toward all people and is faithful to keep His promises. He hears and answers prayers. He calls all men to a relationship with Him through belief in the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.

GOD THE SON: We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and God, the Son. He came to this earth fully God and fully man through miraculous conception and virgin birth. He lived a sinless life and was voluntarily crucified as penalty for the sins of all men. He arose bodily from the dead on the third day to demonstrate His power over sin and death and later ascended to the right hand of the Father. He is the Head of the Church, provides access and reconciliation to God for mankind, and is preparing an eternal home for those who have accepted Him as Lord. He is coming to rapture His church immediately prior to the Tribulation, and will return personally and visibly to earth at the conclusion of the Tribulation to set up His Millennial Kingdom.

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT: We believe the Holy Spirit is equal to and of the same nature as God the Father and God the Son. He is the Comforter, Counselor, and Helper, sent to guide, teach, and fill all believers in response to confession of sin and submission to the lordship of Jesus Christ. We further believe the fruit of the Spirit and permanent spiritual gifts are evidence of His indwelling. All gifts are valid, when used for the common good of the church, and within an age necessary for their use.

SCRIPTURE: We believe that the Bible, composed of the sixty six books of the Old and New Testament, is the final and complete revelation of the will of God to man. The Bible was written by men, inspired and controlled by the Holy Spirit, and is inerrant. It is the divine standard for every life in every age.

SALVATION: We believe every person is born disobedient to God’s desires and plans. This disobedience, known as sin, separates each person from God. Salvation was made possible by the shedding of blood by Jesus Christ, and His substitutionary death on the cross. Salvation is accepted through the acknowledgment of one’s sin, and accepting the gift of God, given by grace through personal faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is being born again, and is totally apart from any effort of man. A true believer is eternally secure, and cannot lose his salvation.

CHURCH: We believe the church is a living, spiritual body of which Christ is the Head. The local church is visible expression of the universal body of Christ and is made up of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ associated by a covenant of worship, teaching, and purpose. The mission of the local church is to make individual disciples, baptize, and teach them. We believe baptism and communion are the ordinances of God to be observed within the church, but are not to be regarded as means to salvation.
Matt 28:18-20; Acts 2:38-47; Rom 3:3-6; 1Cor 11:23-30, 12:12-13; Eph 1:22-23, 4:11-16, 5:26-27; Col 1:18, 24, 2:12; 1Tim 3; Titus 1:5-11; Rev 2-3
FAITH AND PRACTICE: We believe scripture is the final authority in all matters of life and faith. The church does not seek to bind the conscience of its members in areas of scriptural silence. Each believer must be led by their relationship with the Lord, to whom they are ultimately responsible. By adhering to God’s Word, and seeking Him, we can best observe His commandments and bring glory to His name.
